INSIDER "Hunt Like A Lion"

"Hunt Like A Lion" is the name of the new song and comes with a new music video.

You know, EES produced its new album in Namibia with a few producers from Germany and that was really the first song that was written there. When the documentary can finally come out, you will be able to see how EES hears and celebrates the beat for the first time. Yes, and what became of it can now be heard.

Of course you noticed that EES doesn't sing alone, but that a woman can also be heard. EES actually always has an eye and an ear for upcoming musicians in Namibia. It is important to him that they are not one hit wonders, but that they stay tuned and can stand on their own feet. That's why EES has very few features on its new album. Lioness, however, attracted him positively over a longer period of time.

Especially with this song it's good to have a female part. It's about hunted like a lion in a club. So you already know what the guys are hunting. Did you know that this is exactly why The Hunta got its name? Because he always hunted so many girls in the club when he was in Germany) - well, he definitely tried! -) So that was a little insider in Insider. In any case, it is good that a female part is also singing in the song vom hunten and that this female part is also a Lioness. Everything fits :).

If you watch the music video you will notice that EES is wearing a traditional shirt. This shirt and especially the fabric is a traditional Ovambo outfit and that is the largest tribe in Nambia. Such a shirt is usually worn by high-ranking tribal members. Lioness (Ovambo himself) had the idea that EES should wear such a dress. At the beginning, however, EES did not want to because he was concerned that he would not show the tribe enough respect. But Lioness said that he MUST put on the shirt because he shows that they are ONE Namibia.

The video was shot in Windhoek's most famous restaurant, Joe's Beerhouse, and as it should be for a Lioness, who of course can also be a bit of a diva, she didn't come on the first day of shooting and you had to put in a second. If she had known what to expect, she would certainly not have come at all. At Joe's Beerhouse there is a small pond with koi, which is also full of algae. Lioness had to pose in this pool because there were such beautiful reflections with the water. It was pretty cold, but she was professional enough to pull this off.

Have you seen models and dancers in your great outfit? What kind of great designer was there at the start? It was grandma! Yes, exactly, EES's grandmother nourished the outfit after EES quickly bought some fabric in the city.

When EES arrived at the location with the outfits and the set designer received the outfits, she asked EES if she could refine something with the scissors. Sure, feel free, he said. The set designer had disappeared for almost an hour and when the models and dancers came out of the locker room one after the other, there wasn't so much fabric left, but a lot of skin.

But it just looked good and sorry to grandma.

The video was produced with Reggie Films, the most famous film producer in Namibia. EES has wanted to work with him for a long time - but since he so often shoots his own music videos - it took almost 5 years before the two finally produce something together. What is striking is that the video is really of extremely good quality. This video can keep up with the big international video productions and that makes EES extremely proud.
