INSIDER: "When We Unite"

Oh man, time flies, EES has already released some new songs after his Game Changer album and there was a bit of radio silence here!-)

But that will change now with a great new INSIDER to his outstanding new summer song.

We were still in the groove of "Chill Deine Guava" and then we saw on his Instagram that he was back in Namibia and recording a new song.

Of course, I got some insiders from EES and I'll start right away:

Although EES is an old hand in the Namibian music industry, he and TopCheri have never met before. EES got TopCheri's cell phone number from his producer friend Solani Zulu (who, by the way, also co-produced "Ayoba") and called you from Germany to ask if you were interested in one of his new songs. EES told me that she was really looking forward to his call and the two actually met for the first time on the day of the first recording in the recording studio. This encounter can also be seen briefly in the Insta video!-)

EES had put together the basic idea for the song almost a year ago at the request of the South African Goethe Center. But when they suddenly had no interest in the song, EES simply had to finish it themselves. Well, luckily he always bites so hard and doesn't give up, because otherwise we would never have heard this really cool song.

(Producer: Solani Zulu, TopCheri & EES in the studio after recording the Song) Well, it all sounds easier now than it was - because EES spent a really long time tinkering with the song. Every time he worked on it again - he had a catchy tune from the song himself, but he was missing something in the song and that drove him a little crazy. Until he then decided to send the song to his band. Then his saxophonist Klaas and trumpeter Oscar sent him a new version with a nice horn melody. Lo and behold - he finally finished the song!

But of course a music video also has to be shot, and since EES was in Namibia for a couple of video recordings with a camera team from ProSieben (Taff), he naturally planned it cleverly somehow in between. So he went to the desert (near the town of Swakopmund) with TopCheri and a Namibian film team and organized part of the official Namibian Navy "Marching Band" who were immediately at the start with their instruments. Hold on tight - here's a blatant insider: Good friend "Shihepo Lotto" - who practically helped EES to music in his last year of school by repeatedly asking EES to record a song with him, also helped EES this marching band to organize. Since Shihepo is now working for the Namibian Navy. Yes, Namibia really is a VILLAGE!

EES has repeatedly emphasized how great it was to get this project off the ground with TopCheri, since it has been a long time since he felt this anticipation and enthusiasm with one of his featuring musicians. TopCheri really gave everything to give this song and video the energy. Of course, EES sometimes had to wait an hour or two on the film set for TopCheri to come with her entourage, but that's just part of Africa.

They both have a very similar positive vibe somehow!-)

But an insider wouldn't be an insider if it was just a short text. We also saw some other faces in the video, for example the children playing soccer.

Here EES is with his camera team to the Tangeni Shilongo Namibia e.v. in Swakopmund traveled to the township of DRC in Swakopmund. Because there he has also been the ambassador for the project for a while, for which the chairman Volkan Sazli, whom he met a few years ago at a YouTube party in Germany, was able to win him over.

At that time, Volkan was a YouTuber manager for some well-known influencers and at some point everything was too much for him and he decided to run the Tangeni Shilongo project full-time in Namibia.

Well, and suddenly EES is there with his camera and is shooting a music video. The children were super happy and of course there was a group picture.

So if you can say one thing about the new song: it's that it fits perfectly with this summer and this time. So at the end of the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and an imminent climate crisis. We can only cope with all this if we "UNITEN" together.

The plan is for the NamFlava Family to push this song FULL TO THE TWELVE by the end of the year!!! Let's not let go - EES gave us a super template here and we want to use it to hit radio stations, TV stations, and whoever else can help spread the song. The song fits in perfectly with the upcoming World Cup and simply has a positive, summery groove.

WE GOING TO MAKE THAT!

Let's GOOO! We are always looking for new members. If you want to be part of the NAM Flava Family, visit us in our Facebook group where all actions are planned. We really only want active members and that's why it's important to us that if you make a request, please write why you absolutely should be part of our team. If that is missing or there are only three unloving words, unfortunately we cannot let you in. But once you're in, a lot of benefits await you, such as live streams with EES.
