What have I been waiting for this video. We had known the song for a long time and EES had wanted to make the video for about a year. The "same" video was shot by Penilane and now it should be EES 'turn to shoot the "Hate Campaign" video. But as the rockers are nowadays, they have families and not always time.
But this year the time had finally come. Everyone had time and the video should be shot quickly. The idea was to shoot the video on an old farm in crazy clothes. So EES looted his mother's carnival suitcase and off we went. On the way to the correct location, they passed a few farms and EES looked for parts of the Bulli with his trained eye. Unfortunately without success.
They found an old farmhouse with no electricity relatively quickly. It was supposed to be shot all weekend, so everyone camped in the dry river bed. Except for EES, of course, who spent the first night in the Shaggon Waggon.
The shoot was of course in the Nam Flava style. Trees were set on fire even though there was no fire extinguisher to hand, but don't worry, the tree was already dead. But that's the nice thing about EES's videos. He doesn't need the big money, he also delivers such professional work.
The weather didn't always play along either. It started to rain really hard and the 6 looked for shelter in an old tin hut. Yes, and what do you do when you already have the instruments with you and don't just want to sit around? Right, you check that the acoustics in the hut are great and do an acoustic session. I have no idea whether I was even allowed to tell you anything about this video or whether I am talking to a future insider again. But I hope we'll get to see this video soon too.
But one step at a time. Here comes the new video first and we are really excited. Good job EES!
And what else EES has to say about the video shoot, you can hear here.
